Revolution Performance Fabrics® by STI and Brentwood Textiles are true performance fabrics. Woven with Olefin yarn, the fabrics are virtually unstainable, easy to clean, and extremely durable; yet beautiful and soft while also resistant to fading from the sun. Revolution Performance Fabrics® are made with upcycled fibers and have no chemical treatments making them easy on the environment.
OLEFIN, also known as polypropylene, is a unique material because it is totally inert… that’s why milk jugs are made from Olefin. Revolution Performance Fabrics® are made from Olefin yarn that is SOLUTION DYED by mixing pigments in the liquid polymer. The color becomes an integral component of the yarn—That is why it’s VIRTUALLY UNSTAINABLE.
Revolution fabrics can be cleaned with almost any household cleaner—even pure bleach will not damage our fabric. Most stains can be blotted and cleaned with just water, but we recommend mixing some bleach in the solution to kill any bacteria that might grow. Whatever cleaning product you use, it is important to thoroughly RINSE the fabric with clean water and allow the fabric to AIR DRY.
Sunbrella is founded on the belief that fabrics should be both beautiful and functional. We began in the 1960s with the challenge of creating an awning canvas with a substantially longer lifespan than cotton. Sunbrella has become widely adopted for shade structures, marine canvas and upholstery fabric for both outdoor and indoor applications.
Our textiles are made with close attention to design detail, and engineered with robust performance characteristics that provide resistance to fading and degradation from sunlight and chemical exposure. The fabric is tactile yet durable, has industry-leading environmental characteristics, is easy to care for and offers long life – wherever it’s used.
Each yard of Sunbrella performance fabric is a product of a global support team committed to producing only the most exceptional performance textiles you can buy.
Bleach Cleanable- Because color goes to the core of Sunbrella fibers, Sunbrella fabrics can be cleaned with solvents such as bleach without losing color.
Mold and Mildew Resistant- All Sunbrella fabrics are engineered to resist mold and mildew. Should exposure to dirt and debris cause mold and mildew to occur, all Sunbrella fabrics can be easily and safely cleaned with bleach.
UV and Fade Resistant- Traditional dyeing processes only leave color on the surface of fiber, so they easily fade. Sunbrella fibers are saturated to the core with highly UV-stable pigments, making Sunbrella fabrics resistant to fading and the degrading effects of sunlight.
